Promoting the use of R in the NHS

NHS-R Conference and Workshops 2020

Our third annual NHS-R conference and workshops took place over two weeks in November. All sessions were held online with 15 workshops sessions and a five day conference programme, including plenary sessions and lightning talks.

Conference 2020:

41 inspiring sessions delivered by 62 speakers covered the latest developments in R, it’s impact in Healthcare Data analytics and how it is being used to help with the fight against Covid-19.

Talks varied from Communicating statistics in the age of short attention spans to Meta-analysis in R: using ‘meta’ to track COVID-19 outcomes and included contributions from Dr Ben Goldacre; Gianluca Baio, Professor of Statistics and Health Economics, University College London and Ellen Coughlan, Programme Manager, The Health Foundation – to name but a few!

Over a thousand people registrated for the event from 39 countries in 5 continents.

“The conference was a huge success and I thought really highlighted some of the great work that’s going on around the country with R.” Dr Richard Issitt
