About the course

Git basics: What’s a repository, what’s a branch, how to access/clone a repository, create a branch, make changes, push these changes to GitHub.
Git Collaboration: How to submit a Pull Request, assigning reviewers, Pull request options, marking a PR as draft.
Extra: How to create a repository on GitHub

Learning objectives

For users to be able to use Version Control for a project by using Git Commands to access a repository, work on any changes they make and push them to GitHub.

Then as a simulation for working in a project, push those changes to the default repo’s branch.

Joined NHS Digital in September 2021 as a Graduate Trainee, after completing a Masters in Data Science. First placement was with NHS Spine. Second placement was working with the Business Intelligence Dashboards team, developing a testing framework for Tableau dashboards. Currently assigned to the RAP Squad, engaging with teams within NHS Digital and helping them learn and utilise RAP techniques and principles.
