Robert D. As a practitioner of decision analysis, Robert helps decision makers measure the value and risk associated with the important decisions they face in order to make informed trade-offs and choices. His experience spans diverse industrial and commercial fields, including petroleum and chemicals, energy, utilities, supply chain and logistics, pharmaceuticals, electronics manufacturing, tele-communications, IT, commercial real estate, federal agencies, insurance, and project finance. Robert has been an avid promoter of escaping "spreadsheet hell' using superior quantitative tools like Analytica (since 1996) and the R language for statistical computing. He is the author of Business Case Analysis with R - Simulation Tutorials to Support Complex Business Decisions (Springer-Nature/Apress, March 2018), a collection of tutorials intended to help analysts perform business case analyses and communicate their results with better tools than error-prone spreadsheets. He also recently served as a technical editors for The Metrics Manifesto - Confronting Security with Data by Richard Seiersen.
Robert graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
